On January 26, 2012, my wife gave birth to our new little princess named Ivy Larson Crews. She was 6-14 when she was born. Since then she is doing great. My wife and I are not exactly getting tons of sleep but that is expected. We love her so much.
Going through childbirth with your spouse is an unbelievable experience. The miracle of childbirth is truly amazing. My mere words can’t come close to describing my feelings, the awesomeness, and what it is like. My wife and I are much closer and it was even our second time. You think you can’t love any more but then you see that there is so much more.
When the Classic rolls around, Ivy will be less than a month old. My wife and I feel that is too young to travel with a newborn. It will be tough to be away from Ivy, my wife, our 4 year old Myah, and Noah. It will be back to the fishing and traveling away from family, the best and worst part of being a pro angler.
The Classic will still be extra busy because my bait company, Missile Baits, will be setting up a display at the show. It will be nice to set up in front of so many great fans and show them our baits. My dad and one of my friends and employee will be going down. I will have other family and friends there but my wife and kids will stay back in Virginia.
My goal…bring back an extra large trophy to them.
I want to be dad, husband, and Classic Champ.
